Davenport Hotel Coffeecake
Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

2 cups sugar

2 large eggs

1 cup sour cream

1/2 teaspoon vanilla, 2

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

Topping:

1 cup walnut, chopped

2 teaspoons cinnamon

2 teaspoons brown sugar
Method

Preheat oven to 350F.

Cream butter and sugar in a stand mixer, or using a hand mixer. Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla.

Gradually, add dry ingredients. Mix until batter is smooth. Butter a deep 9" round cake pan.

Combine all topping ingredients and sprinkle half of the mixture over the batter. Cover with the rest of the batter. Sprinkle with remaining topping. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
